Two Speech Therapists for Inpatient Care at the Speech Therapy Clinic, DS, Temporary Positions

Due to a "baby boom," we are looking for two temporary colleagues to join our speech therapy team in inpatient care at Danderyd Hospital starting this spring.

Offer and Responsibilities

As a speech therapist in acute inpatient care, you will be part of a speech therapy team and a vital cog in the teamwork around the patients. The stroke process is important at the hospital, and as a speech therapist, you will be an integral part of it, including daily participation in team meetings. We also have high-care places for neurological intermediate care at DS, where we are an important part of the team around the patients. Other neurological departments, ICU, and Geriatrics are also departments where we work regularly, and in addition, the assignment includes consultations in most inpatient departments at the hospital.

We also place great importance on the development of the operation, and together with your colleagues, both at Danderyd and Södersjukhuset, you will help develop the work. We work systematically to deepen and broaden the group's knowledge and competence through working groups, internal and external training, and participation in networking meetings. You will participate in subject-specific meetings and development days, and you will also have access to the clinic's other staff and their expertise. Your Main Responsibilities Include:

• independently assess swallowing, speech, language, and communication abilities
• treat the above abilities, as conditions allow
• collaborate with other staff around the patient
• participate in team meetings
• give lectures
• contribute to development work

The Speech Therapy Clinic also staffs inpatient care at Södersjukhuset, and the collaboration between the hospitals is important and close.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed speech therapist with solid experience working with acquired swallowing, speech, language, and communication difficulties. You have good knowledge of and experience performing Cervical Auscultation, FUS, and working with tracheostomized patients. As a person, we believe you are engaged, curious, positive, and solution-oriented. You are flexible and have a high work capacity and a pedagogical approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, and since you will be part of a team, it is a prerequisite that you enjoy collaborating with others and have a generous attitude towards work.

Start date, position 1: April 1, 2026, temporary until February 28, 2027.

Start date, position 2: May 1, 2026, temporary until April 25, 2027.

The clinic receives a large number of students from the country's speech therapy programs each year. We provide the competence development required for each employee's assignment.
