Full Stack Developer at the County Administrative Boards' IT Department

The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is in an exciting phase of development where digitization, innovative solutions, and security and preparedness issues are in focus. The operations of the County Administrative Boards have a wide scope and operate in areas that are highly relevant in today's society. Digitization is a strong driving force for the County Administrative Boards, where IT often plays a key role in realizing needs.

The IT department of the County Administrative Boards is national and works for all 21 County Administrative Boards in Sweden.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a sharp full stack developer with a genuine interest in both technology and people.

You thrive when you can sit down with the operations, dig into the needs, and then deliver solutions that are both technically elegant and make everyday life easier for thousands of users.

You will:

  • Work in a team with assignments in community planning and general mapping support
  • Build and operate modern web applications across the entire stack – including advanced mapping solutions
  • Drive quality throughout the delivery in the DevOps flow, from development to operation
  • Work in complex IT environments with high demands for availability, security, and usability.

Work location is Gothenburg, Karlstad, Luleå, Vänersborg, or Mariestad.

Qualifications

Requirements – you have solid competence in:

  • JavaScript/TypeScript and Vue.js or React
  • .NET/.NET Core – you build APIs and backend
  • Mapping technology: OpenLayers and/or Esri
  • SQL Server + advanced SQL
  • Containers (Docker + Kubernetes or OpenShift) and Windows Server environments
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in DevOps flows (GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar) in agile teams.
  • You also have a college or post-secondary education of at least two years in the IT field.

Meritorious:

  • AD, networking, virtualization, PowerShell, Linux
  • Experience from larger government agencies or classified development.

Personal Qualities:

  • You are good at communicating, with the ability to explain a complex architectural issue to a community planner in a simple and pedagogical way
  • You enjoy collaborating and thrive in coaching both junior colleagues and representatives from the operations
  • You are driven to learn new things, continuously develop, and can adapt to changing conditions.
