The opportunity

As part of the Global Hardware Development (R&D) team at Hitachi Energy, you will play a key role in advancing Bay Level solutions. We are looking for 2 people as our project portfolio is increasing. Competence in focus is system engineering and project management within electronics HW development. In both capacities, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure successful and timely delivery of innovative, high-quality products.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Ensure technical consistency and requirements fulfillment of components, interfaces and architecture.
  • Conduct system-level analysis and maintain alignment with operational needs across functions like manufacturing, QA, procurement, and sales.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers throughout development and integration.
  • Lead product and technology development projects from concept to production release.
  • Manage upgrades and maintenance of existing products to ensure continued performance and compliance.
  • Oversee project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for specifications, integration, and system changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance processes and reduce costs.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hardware development, systems engineering, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and system integration practices.
  • Experience in the energy sector and power transmission systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
