Welding Responsible, ABB High Speed Synchronous - Machines

We are looking for someone who wants to take overall responsibility for the welding area in our advanced production of large and complex electric motors. With us, you will have an independent and broad role where you drive and develop the entire welding process – from methods and quality to documentation and certification requirements. We are looking for someone who thrives on responsibility, technology, and quality – and who wants to contribute to ensuring our motors continue to be of the highest standard in a global market.

You will have a central function in the business, with many contact points both internally and externally. You will work in an environment where quality and technology are in focus and where each motor is unique.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure that welding is carried out according to the correct parameters, standards, and quality requirements, as well as associated documentation such as WPQR/WPS.
• Be responsible for welding, welding control, and welding processes, as well as requirements related to our ISO certifications.
• Support production and work closely with both welders and welding robots, and be part of projects where welding is involved.
• Be involved in customer inquiries related to welding and discuss solutions for their unique motor applications.
• Manage and follow up on suppliers' welding documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous development of welding methods and working practices.
• Plan and conduct internal training for welders and other operations regarding the welding area, certifications, NDT.

Qualifications for the Role

• Relevant education and certification in welding, such as IWS, IWT, or IWE (preferable).
• Documented experience in quality control, welding documentation, and work according to ISO 3834.
• Solid experience in welding and working in a dynamic production environment.
• Experienced in conducting supplier audits and managing deviations with high precision and quality awareness.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively and communicatively with different parts of the organization.
• Preferable with experience in training and mentoring colleagues in welding.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
