The Water and Sewage Department is part of the Technical Administration and consists of about 25 employees. We are responsible for the municipality's water and sewage facilities and work every day to deliver a safe and sustainable water supply. The department is divided into two main areas: pipeline networks and facilities (including pumping stations). The position of construction worker belongs to the pipeline network area, where we focus on renewal, maintenance, and development of the municipality's water and sewage infrastructure. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a construction worker, you will work with both repair, maintenance, and renewal of the municipality's water and sewage pipeline network, including both planned work and emergency interventions. The position is practical and varied, focusing on pipe laying and construction work.

Examples of job tasks:

• Install, repair, and maintain the municipal water and sewage pipeline network according to applicable standards and regulations
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs during operational disruptions
• Leak detection and repair of water leaks
• Replacement of valves, service lines, and manholes
• Participate in preparations, planning, and reporting
• Conduct risk assessments and follow safety measures according to the work environment plan
• Document work efforts and actions in the operational system

You will also assist with:

• Investigations and valve motioning
• Flushing and filming of sewage pipes
• Other tasks within operations and maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

We are a smaller organization where everyone needs to be able to work both independently and together. You are flexible, curious, and enjoy learning new things. The work as a construction worker requires a sense of responsibility, initiative, and good collaboration skills.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Education in construction or practical experience from the construction industry, preferably with a focus on pipe laying.
• You need to have at least basic knowledge of construction work and the ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
• You need to be computer literate, as we primarily work digitally. You are proficient in the Office suite and have the ability to learn new operational and monitoring systems.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement.
• A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in operations, maintenance, and projects within the water and sewage industry.
• License or experience in welding PE pipes.
• BE or C driver's license and machine operator certification.
• Training such as PE welding, Hot work, Safe lifting, trench safety, work in traffic environments.

Personal qualities:

• Engaged and responsible, with problem-solving ability - communicative and collaborative, but confident in working independently when needed.
• Meticulous, with a focus on quality and safety - positive and service-oriented, with a desire to develop and contribute to the organization's goals.
