About the Sales Engineer position
As a Sales Engineer in Aranya's Solutions team, you are a key person in the intersection between technology and business. You are responsible for understanding customer needs and translating them into well-thought-out technical solutions and offers. In this role, you are technically responsible for the solutions proposed – from early dialogue and solution design to support in delivery and follow-up. You work closely with salespeople, consultants, and specialists, act as a technical advisor in customer dialogues, and ensure that delivered solutions meet promised quality. Finally, you will also drive troubleshooting and correction in existing network and security solutions for more complex or critical issues.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Validate, design, and propose technical solutions based on customer requirements and Aranya's service portfolio.
  • Participate in technical presales at customer meetings, workshops, procurements, and RFP/RFI.
  • Troubleshoot and correct existing network and security solutions for more complex or critical issues.
  • Documentation and visualization of network and security architecture.

About you
You have several years of experience in networking and/or IT security and a broad understanding of both network and security technologies, with in-depth expertise in at least one of the areas. You have worked with technical presales and solution design, from requirements gathering to design and handover to delivery. With a good understanding of IT operations and architecture, a strong interest in technology, and analytical skills, you easily see the big picture in the customer's IT environment and come up with well-founded solutions.

You are clear and confident in your communication, easily build trusting relationships, and take the initiative in dialogues. You are curious about technology, keep yourself updated, and are happy to share your knowledge. With an analytical approach, you can quickly immerse yourself in complex contexts and contribute with well-thought-out, long-term solutions.

Important for the position is:

  • At least 5 years of dedicated experience in roles within networking and/or security.
  • Good overall knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, proxy, SSE, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
  • Good overall knowledge of networking technologies such as LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and data centers.
  • Documented experience in technical presales and solution design, from idea and requirements gathering to technical design.
  • Very good ability to communicate technical solutions in an educational manner, both in Swedish and English.

Meritorious:

  • Experience with scripting/coding in e.g. Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience working with HPE Aruba solutions.
  • Experience working with Palo Alto solutions.
  • Experience in networking and/or security in cloud environments.
