Mässrestauranger AB is a family-owned business that has been a successful restaurateur in Sweden for generations. The company operates all restaurant activities at Stockholmsmässan and Malmömässan and has extensive experience and knowledge in the field.

Mässrestauranger at Malmömässan has an exciting operation within food, beverages, and events. We are now looking for a head waiter who wants to help develop and run the business during this eventful year in 2026.

Our food philosophy is based on Swedish flavors, sustainable ingredients, and well-executed overall experiences. With us, you will work on both large and small arrangements – from trade fairs and corporate events to banquets and special assignments.

About the role

As a Head Waiter for events and fairs, you will be responsible for planning and executing our arrangements. You will be the responsible head waiter on-site and ensure that each event is carried out with high quality, good structure, and warm hospitality.

You will work closely with colleagues within the company as well as with our partners and lead the service and café staff.

Your main tasks

Be present in the execution and lead events and fair arrangements on-site.

Work on planning together with project managers and the Banquet and Event Manager.

Lead and support the team during the execution of events.

Ensure high service, quality, and good guest experience.

Actively work in operations with everything from unloading pallets with deliveries, wiping tables, and inventory. Pitch in where needed.

We are looking for someone who has:

Several years of experience in restaurants and events, preferably larger events.

Education from a culinary school (at least high school level).

Good knowledge of food and beverages (meritorious).

Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Good computer skills and experience with the Office suite.

Experience with customer contact, quote writing, and operational responsibility.

Meritorious

Experience with cash handling and BackOffice.

Experience in setting up and running temporary cafés or sales points.
