Job Responsibilities

The role of telephone advisory nurse involves assessing symptoms and referring residents to the appropriate level of care. Based on your medical expertise and with the help of our digital solutions and tools, you will work systematically and methodically to ensure correct triage with high patient safety. To complement our healthcare conversations, we use digital image and video solutions.

Before you start working with us, you will receive comprehensive introductory training focused on conversation methodology and referral support.

Qualifications

  • Work experience as a registered nurse.
  • Fluent in Swedish (spoken and written).
  • Good knowledge of English (spoken and understood).
  • Good IT skills. Familiar with using a computer as a work tool and can easily navigate different programs and work in multiple systems simultaneously.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in assessing care needs and triaging patients.
  • Experience working with healthcare advisory over the phone.
  • Experience in various areas of healthcare.

About Us

The telephone healthcare advisory in Stockholm is responsible for 1177 by phone in Region Stockholm. Previously, the assignment was performed by MedHelp Healthcare Advisory, but from January 1, 2026, the operations will be run under the Stockholm County Council's (SLSO) management after Region Stockholm acquired the company. We are now on an exciting journey and hope you want to be part of continuing to develop our mission as an important part of the care chain for the region's residents.

Conditions

Employment type: We are looking for someone who wants a permanent position.

Location: We have offices in Stockholm, Kalix, and Kristinehamn. You can choose whether you want to work at one of our three offices or take advantage of the opportunity for remote work from home.

Scope: Full-time (100%) or part-time (87.5%, 75%, 50%).

Start: Start date according to agreement.

Salary: Individual salary setting applies.

Working hours: We are a 24/7 operation with varying working hours. In this position, your working hours will vary between 05:00 and 01:00.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

  • background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during hiring.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
