Welcome to 9900 – the District Veterinarians' emergency phone. Our approximately 30 employees are spread across the country and work together via digital tools. We are part of the District Veterinarians' emergency organization and contribute with service, security, and accessibility regardless of who is calling.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for employees to strengthen our team in the emergency phone 9900 during the holiday period. The work takes place during inconvenient hours. You will work from home, and contact with colleagues will be digital. Your tasks will include answering incoming calls during standby time, coordinating cases to the rest of the emergency organization, and supporting the veterinarians who are on standby. 9900 also handles customs matters during inconvenient hours. Some administrative duties may occur.

9900 is staffed at all inconvenient times, every day of the year, including weekends and holidays. We work in teams but also independently with ongoing contact with both pet owners and field staff.

As an employee in 9900, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks while being easy to collaborate with and seeing the value in good teamwork. You are also good at making correct assessments and priorities and have no problem making decisions based on these even in difficult situations or under time pressure.

You should enjoy being part of a dynamic organization and be able to adapt to what the situation requires. As a person, you find it easy to understand others' perspectives without taking over their feelings.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent knowledge
  • Education as an animal caregiver level 2 to 3 or licensed veterinary nurse, or equivalent experience from animal healthcare as assessed by the employer.
  • Very good computer skills and ability to use various computer systems.
  • Very good oral and written skills in Swedish
  • Good oral and written skills in English.

  • Ability to communicate empathetically, build trust, and meet people in vulnerable situations
  • You thrive in collaboration with others, actively contributing to a good work environment through your positive attitude and approach.
  • Well-developed multitasking ability and flexibility in your work,
  • Good ability to work focused, accurately, and methodically despite pressured situations

It is advantageous to have:

  • Experience in dealing with people in crisis
  • Experience working with intensive tasks where empathetic ability is important, such as ambulance care, communication centers, customer service, or similar work that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Experience with the District Veterinarians' IT systems (Link, Abax, Unit4, Connect)

Tests and assessments may be used during the selection process to measure qualifications and abilities. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal abilities.
