What does a Maintenance Planner do at APM Terminals?

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for driving the technical planning of maintenance and repair work across the terminal. You play a central role in ensuring that our equipment is maintained efficiently, safely, and with the right resources – from planning to execution.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Planning and scheduling corrective and preventive maintenance (CM & PM) in our CMMS system.
• Ensuring resources – that spare parts, materials, and tools are available in time for planned work.
• Analyzing historical maintenance data to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Developing maintenance strategies and improving planning processes in collaboration with technical and operational teams.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, such as technicians, operations, and warehouse organizations, to optimize workflows.
• Ensuring data quality and follow-up in the CMMS system, including tracking key performance indicators and completed activities.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in maintenance or production planning, preferably with CMS/CMMS systems such as IFS or similar.
• Has a basic technical understanding of maintenance and a genuine interest in heavy equipment, technology, and industrial processes.
• Has practical experience in maintenance operations within a comparable industry with complex and heavy machinery, such as automotive, manufacturing, or logistics sectors.
• Is structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented, with a good ability to prioritize and plan.
• Communicates clearly and enjoys working cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
• Has experience in data analysis and data-driven improvement initiatives.
• Has knowledge of LEAN principles and methods for continuous improvements.
• Fluently speaks and writes in Swedish and English.
