Social Worker Position at Adult Unit in Mölndal

In the city of Mölndal, we take pride in having Sweden's most important jobs, where we together create the best possible everyday life for our citizens. With knowledge, courage, and creativity, we develop our operations and contribute to making Mölndal an even better place to live and work. Welcome to make a difference in people's lives every day!

The Social and Labor Market Administration handles parts of the social services operations. We work in a traditional division of operational areas IFO (individual and family care) and AFE (labor market and support) while challenging ourselves to work comprehensively with processes where adulthood is part of the process management group for housing and dependency. The administration also includes an administrative staff.

Now the Adult Unit has an open position for a social worker for the target group aged 25 and older with harmful use and dependence on alcohol, drugs, and gambling. We are looking for someone who is driven to work with this target group and who wants to collaborate to achieve the highest possible support for our clients.

The Adult Unit consists of both investigative social workers and outpatient staff. Currently, we have eight social workers and seven therapists working to help our clients become independent and increase their self-empowerment. Other staff members in the unit work in our reception function and with the target group of young adults (18-24 years). In the unit, we have close leadership with two unit managers, two senior social workers, a method supervisor, and a coordinator. Our team has diverse experiences and backgrounds, but we are all committed to ensuring that our target group receives support based on their needs.

All staff in the unit are offered external process supervision and a generous wellness allowance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in the Adult Unit, you will investigate applications and reports primarily concerning harmful use and dependence and comorbidity, as well as other psychosocial issues among adults. The work is conducted under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM).

You will assess needs and determine the right to assistance and follow up on interventions in the form of outpatient care and round-the-clock care. Your tasks include support and motivational work as well as following up on incoming reports in your ongoing cases. The investigative group focusing on clients aged 25 and older has its own senior social worker, which allows for close and accessible leadership.

As a social worker with us, you will collaborate extensively both internally and externally. In our cases, we work closely with our own outpatient care, which provides treatment, care coordination, and supported housing. Part of the collaboration occurs with the Care and Welfare Administration. Within the adult area, we work with the goal of home first to enable more interventions at home. We implement Housing First and collaborate with healthcare for more flexible healthcare in the form of ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

QUALIFICATIONS

You should have a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer deems equivalent. Training in social law (SoL and LVM) is a requirement.

We prefer that you have previous work experience in public authority within social services and experience working with individuals with dependency issues and comorbidity. Experience in social psychiatric issues is an advantage.

We would like you to have training in ASI, Freda, and MI.

The ability to express yourself verbally and in writing is crucial, as a significant part of the job involves documentation and investigative work. Knowledge of Treserva is advantageous.

A driver's license is required.

For the operation to function and for a good working environment, the job requires independent work and structure, as well as a lot of flexibility, since participation and collaboration with colleagues are the foundation for us to perform our tasks and achieve our goals together.
