Material Administrator for the Swedish Armed Forces

Main Responsibilities

As a material administrator, you will be part of a team where your main responsibilities include ensuring that there is order and clarity regarding the unit's material together with your colleagues. Your tasks include monitoring the status and reporting of material as well as coordinating material flows. This is mainly done in the Armed Forces' support systems, e.g. PRIO or LIFT.

Examples of Tasks

• Report material throughout its lifecycle (procurement, redistribution, decommissioning, disposal)
• Database maintenance and updating of reporting systems
• Inventory reporting of material
• Support to local warehouse for goods handling
• Control and coordination of material flows

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• 3-year high school education
• Experience in administrative tasks
• Experience in material procurement and/or material reporting
• Very good computer skills (especially Excel)
• Experience working in a business system
• Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in English
• Driving license B (manual)
• Swedish citizenship

Meritorious

• Experience in logistics and material administration within the Armed Forces
• Knowledge/experience of the Armed Forces' internal reporting systems Lift and PRIO
• Experience in customer contact within trade/logistics
• Experience in contact with various suppliers of goods/services
• Familiarity with handling classified information

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is responsible and meticulous even when the work pace is high. You have good teamwork skills and find it easy to understand new tasks. You have a good ability to work independently and in a structured manner.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Other

The position is a civilian, permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period for those who are not employed within the Armed Forces. The location is Örebro, with immediate start or as agreed. Travel may occur in the position. Your application should include a CV and a personal letter.
