We are now looking for a strategic buyer for our electronics team at Saab in Karlskoga, where you will play an important role in ensuring competitiveness, sustainability, and innovation in our supplier base.

Your Role

As a strategic buyer, you will have a central role where you build and develop a wide network, both internally within Saab and externally with our suppliers. You will be an important part of ensuring competitiveness, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness in our supplier base.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Be responsible for your own supplier base and continuously develop it.
• Develop and implement strategies for suppliers.
• Negotiate, manage, and further develop supplier agreements.
• Support projects and programs with commercial expertise.
• Lead cross-functional teams focused on efficiency and cost savings.
• Issue RFQs, evaluate offers, and negotiate prices and terms.
• Ensure that Saab's purchasing strategy, policies, and procedures are followed.

Your Profile

To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you are a business-driven and relationship-building person who finds it easy to collaborate and build trust, both internally and externally. You are communicative and confident in dialogues while also having an analytical and structured side that helps you create an overview and make well-founded decisions.

We would like you to have several years of experience in strategic purchasing or other commercial roles, as well as a post-secondary education in, for example, engineering or economics, or equivalent competence acquired in other ways.

Since the role involves many points of contact, both nationally and internationally, you need to have very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form. You also have good experience working in MS Office and various business systems. Experience in purchasing within the electronics field, such as circuit boards, cabling, or components, is meritorious but not a requirement.
