As a speech therapist is going on parental leave, we are looking for a licensed speech therapist who wants to work in a smaller group. With us, you will have speech therapists and a medical administrative officer as your closest colleagues, as well as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. The speech therapists also work in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, dietitians, and doctors in both inpatient and outpatient care. The speech therapy clinic in Karlskoga is part of the rehabilitation services. Region Örebro works with early intervention for children with language and communication difficulties. We participate in the Child Health Team, which includes, among others, BVC and special educators from the municipality. The speech therapists work closely together and believe that high competence, quality, and joy are important ingredients in the workplace. We work in newly renovated rehabilitation facilities.

The speech therapists have a broad job assignment and meet many different patient groups in both inpatient and outpatient care. We work with general speech therapy and perform assessments and treatments of language, reading/writing, speech, swallowing, and communication difficulties as well as voice difficulties in both children/youth and adults. We have assignments in the Mobile Stroke Team and conduct group activities for children and their guardians. Supervision of students is an important and common task. You will also be able to participate in improvement work both at the local and regional levels.
