About the Position

Poolia is seeking a Strategic Buyer for Saab Surveillance in Solna. In the role of Strategic Buyer, you will be part of a team that drives the long-term strategy for key suppliers and ensures access to advanced and groundbreaking technology. You will have account responsibility for selected strategic suppliers and a commercial responsibility to ensure optimal business solutions. You will work closely with production, product management, product design, and technology development to coordinate requirements, quality, cost, and technology.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Own and develop relationships with strategic suppliers
• Negotiate and establish supplier agreements (commercial and legal aspects).
• Drive long-term cost activities, pricing strategies, and total cost of ownership.
• Ensure supplier quality, delivery capability, and technology development.
• Work data-driven with analysis, reporting, and visualization (primarily in Excel).
• Lead or contribute to specific projects, e.g., strategic purchasing decisions and supply chain localization in selected countries.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with production, R&D, product management, and supply chain.

You have strong business acumen, an analytical and commercial drive, and thrive in a technically advanced environment where purchasing is closely linked to product and technology.

We believe you have:

• Documented experience as a Strategic Buyer / Category Manager / Sourcing in a process- or project-driven organization.
• The ability to develop and negotiate agreements that support the business's commercial goals.
• An analytical approach and experience interpreting large datasets.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Legal and commercial experience related to contracts, procurement law, and supplier terms.
• Proven ability to create effective supplier relationships and drive improvements.
• Proactive, self-driven work style and ability to achieve results independently and in a team.
• Excellent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience from high-tech industries (e.g., electronics, sensors, system development, defense/automation).
• Methodological knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or similar improvement frameworks.
• Interest/experience in working in a technology-driven culture close to R&D and product design.
• Experience in global sourcing and supplier localization.
