We are now looking for a number of part-time library assistants for our university library in Luleå, responsible for keeping the library open in the evenings, Monday – Thursday, and during the day, Saturday – Sunday during the semester. Duties include assisting visitors with their inquiries, showing the self-service area, and being visible and accessible in the premises. Important tasks also include maintaining order in the premises, shelving, and retrieving books, among other things. We are looking for someone who can work in the spring semester of 2026, with the possibility of additional semesters.

Qualifications

We are looking for students at Luleå University of Technology, or those studying library and information science at another institution. It is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language and can also communicate well in English. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who takes great responsibility for their tasks, has a good attitude, and is meticulous. You should be able to collaborate easily but also have the ability to work independently.

Scope and Location

Part-time employment as needed during the semester, usually 4-6 hours/week, according to a schedule at the library in Luleå. There is some flexibility in the schedule to make it easier to combine work with your studies.

Hourly wage/compensation is 171 SEK/hour, in addition to hourly pay, vacation pay is paid according to the Vacation Act.
