About Stenvalls Trä AB

Stenvalls Trä AB is a genuine family business that started as a carpentry shop in Sikfors in 1947. Today, we operate a modern industrial group that works from the forest to finished wood products, with operations in Sikfors, Luleå/Bergnäset, Örarna, Seskarö, and Piteå/Lövholmen. We produce climate-smart wood products for both the Swedish market and export – with approximately 70% of the volume going internationally. Stenvalls Trä AB employs 275 people and has a turnover of around 1.7 billion SEK.

The group also includes companies such as Kallax Flyg, Stenvalls Skogar, XL-Bygg Stenvalls, Genesis IT, and several real estate companies.

Our culture is characterized by entrepreneurship, long-term thinking, and responsibility. We believe in humility, decisiveness, and close dialogue between departments. In recent years, we have invested over one billion SEK in modernizing and developing our operations – and our journey continues.

Our core values are brave, action-oriented, and genuine. These permeate Stenvalls' operations, both in operational and strategic work.

We are now looking for a Warehouse & Purchasing Manager

As the Warehouse & Purchasing Manager at Stenvalls Trä, you will have overall responsibility for our warehouse and purchasing function located at four sites. The role is new and involves building, leading, and developing working methods, structure, supplier strategy, and common processes for Stenvalls Trä's operations.

You will have personnel and work environment responsibility for five warehouse and purchasing administrators located at four facilities, report directly to the CEO, and be part of the management team. You will work both strategically and hands-on in close collaboration with production, maintenance, and other processes.

This is a role for you who want to take an operationally close, business-critical, and development-oriented managerial role with a large mandate to create order, uniformity, and efficiency.

Your main responsibilities

As the Warehouse & Purchasing Manager, you are responsible for:

  • Leading, developing, and coordinating warehouse and purchasing work at our facilities
  • Establishing common processes, routines, and working methods
  • Ensuring the availability of spare parts, consumables, and critical items
  • Driving procurements, negotiations, and supplier dialogues
  • Consolidating suppliers and ensuring cost-effective agreements
  • Optimizing inventory levels, item structure, and KPI monitoring
  • Working closely with production and maintenance to ensure operational reliability and workflows.
  • Developing and specifying system support – primarily Mainter
  • Following up on deviations, quality, delivery precision, and results
  • Actively contributing to the management team's strategic work

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is confident, structured, and experienced in warehousing, purchasing, and industrial production. You are used to leading teams, building processes, and creating uniformity – especially in environments where multiple sites operate in different ways.

You have a combination of operational presence and the ability to drive long-term improvements. You are fearless, unpretentious, and action-oriented – and thrive in a culture where a lot is happening and where you are expected to step forward.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in purchasing, supplier work, and negotiations
  • Experience in inventory management, material flows, and industrial production
  • Documented leadership experience in an operational environment
  • Ability to build structure, order, and common working methods
  • Good system skills (preferably experience with warehouse or maintenance systems)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Driving license B

Meritorious

  • Experience in industry, production, or process industry
  • Experience with Mainter or similar systems
  • Experience in project management and digitization of flows
  • Experience working with ISO, quality systems, or internal control
  • Knowledge of Finnish

Personal qualities

We believe you are:

  • Clear, stable, and unpretentious in your leadership
  • Structured and good at creating order in complex flows
  • Decisive and confident in decision-making
  • Relationship-building and communicative
  • Solution-oriented and used to handling rapid changes
  • A leader who builds trust, participation, and collaboration

Why Stenvalls Trä?

This is a unique opportunity for you who want to shape and drive a key function in a strong and expanding company. With us, you will:

  • Have a large mandate to influence and develop a department with great potential
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, management, and the core of the business
  • Have a role where you can create order, structure, and long-term working methods
  • Be part of an unpretentious culture with short decision-making paths
  • Join an employer with a strong value base: brave, action-oriented, genuine

You will receive a well-thought-out introduction where you get to know all the facilities, key personnel, systems, and flows – with support from the CEO, COO, production managers, and maintenance.
