Borgholm Castle is looking for a train driver for the summer season 2026

During the summer, a lot is happening at this Öland tourist destination. During this time, the castle train runs between Borgholm Castle and Borgholm Square, which is an experience in itself and a popular way to reach the castle.

Borgholm Castle is today the ruin of the grand baroque palace built by Charles X Gustav in the mid-17th century. The oldest parts of the castle date back to the 12th century.

Today, it is a living place and one of the region's most popular tourist destinations. Here, history blends with our time. Now it is us together who create history at the castle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work as a train driver on the castle train between Borgholm Castle and Borgholm Square. It is a city train with a driver's cabin and two passenger carriages with a capacity of 20 passengers. In your role as a train driver, you will drive the train between the two stops via Queen Victoria's resting home garden.

The train runs along a designated route through busy streets. You will assist passengers on and off the train at the stops and collect payment during boarding.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive and social attitude who enjoys personal interaction. You have a B driver's license and are a calm and reliable driver who prioritizes the safety of passengers and yourself in traffic. You find it easy to cooperate and have the ability to provide visitors with an experience that exceeds their expectations. We value proficiency in Swedish and English.

We prefer candidates with several years of driving experience. A B driver's license is a requirement.
