Chief Information Security Officer

You will come in early and have the mandate to shape the information security work in close collaboration with the business, IT, and management. Together with colleagues across the organization, you will contribute to a safe, reliable, and sustainable healthcare chain for patients, healthcare staff, and society. Every day, all year round.
About the position
As Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will be responsible for leading and developing our collective work in information and cybersecurity. You will take a comprehensive approach to governance, risk management, and compliance related to information assets, IT environment, and business-critical systems, in close cooperation with both management and operations.
Your role includes, among other things:
- Developing, furthering, and anchoring a long-term strategy for information security in line with the business goals
- Establishing and further developing policies, guidelines, processes, and controls for information security
- Leading and coordinating the work with risk analyses, security classification of systems, and continuity planning
- Ensuring structured incident management and follow-up and learning after incidents
- Driving and following up on security-related initiatives and projects, such as network security, identity and access management, and cloud security
- Supporting the business with requirements towards suppliers and during procurements from an information security perspective
You will report to management and act as a strategic advisor on matters related to information and cybersecurity, where you translate technical and regulatory requirements into described business risks and priorities.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of information and IT security combined with good business acumen and the ability to translate regulations into practical solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a clear purpose and complex requirements – and you are motivated by building structures and working methods that make a real difference.
We believe you have:
- Several years of experience in qualified work within information/IT/cybersecurity, preferably from larger or regulated organizations.
- Good understanding of relevant standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, or similar
- Experience in risk management, governance, and follow-up of information security at a strategic level
- Experience working closely with operations, IT, and management, as well as the ability to translate technical issues into business value and risk
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English
It is an advantage if you have experience in:
- Leadership roles within information or cybersecurity
- Working with certifications, audits, or regulatory requirements
- Change and process work
As a person, you are analytical, structured, and action-oriented. You easily build trust, create relationships, and influence without always having formal authority. You thrive when you can combine strategic work with occasionally rolling up your sleeves and driving activities to completion.
We offer
We offer a key role where you have significant influence over how we develop our information and cybersecurity work going forward. You will be a central part of creating security and stability for both the business, employees, and customers.
With us, you will:
- Work in an organization with a clear purpose and a high degree of societal benefit
- Have a strategic role close to decision-makers, where your contributions make a concrete difference
- Have good opportunities to influence working methods, processes, and priorities within information security
- Enjoy an inspiring work environment in newly renovated premises located in Västra Hamnen.
- Receive wellness benefits and access to the benefits portal Benifex (formerly Benify)
