Wind Farm Manager at Jämtkraft

Do you want to contribute to the sustainable energy solutions of the future? As a wind farm manager at Jämtkraft, you will use your technical expertise in wind power or the energy sector and play a key role in the development of our wind and solar power facilities.

About the Job

As a wind farm manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of our wind farms. You will work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and other partners to ensure that the facilities operate optimally.

The wind power industry is rapidly changing, with a shift in focus from maximum production to delivering energy in the right quantity and time, as well as contributing frequency services in the balancing market. In this role, it is you, together with colleagues in the department and within the group, who create the conditions for Jämtkraft to remain at the forefront of this development.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to development, problem-solving, and improvement work in an engaged team.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual inspections (rounds) of the wind turbines and ensure clear reporting.
  • Act as a liaison between Jämtkraft and service providers, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies in the operation and maintenance of the wind farms, focusing on both high availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support to the operations organization and wind power analysts for quick troubleshooting and decision-making support.
  • Order and call off work such as snow removal, component replacements, and both planned and emergency interventions.
  • Ensure that the facilities comply with environmental permits, including ongoing monitoring and reporting.
  • Handle operational issues related to the operation and maintenance of the wind farms.
  • Work on continuous improvements and contribute to the organization achieving its goals.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who wants to develop, take responsibility, and learn new things, and who sees every task as an opportunity to contribute to the success of the organization. You enjoy both practical tasks in the field and administrative tasks at the computer, and see documentation, follow-up, and routines as a natural part of a structured and professional working method.

You thrive on switching between fieldwork, technical problem-solving, and tasks that require communication with various stakeholders.

You are structured and meticulous, have order in your workday, and document correctly. At the same time, you are collaborative and communicative, with an easy ability to build trust and relationships both internally and externally.

Additionally, you enjoy solving problems, both technical and administrative, and see the big picture to find practical and sustainable solutions.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in technical maintenance or similar technical tasks, whether in wind power or another industry. Relevant education and/or experience in technical work is highly valued. If you have not worked with wind power before, you will have the opportunity to undergo the necessary training – we will help you as long as you are comfortable working at heights.
  • Education: Vocational training as a wind power technician or at least a high school education in electrical engineering, mechanics, or energy.
  • Language: Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Driver's license: Class B.

Our Offer

At Jämtkraft, you will be part of driving the development towards a more sustainable society. We work in secure teams where new ideas and development are encouraged. Here you will grow – together with us.
