JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your placement will be in the kitchen at Parkdalaskolan. Here we prepare lunch for about 500 students in grades 4-9. Breakfast and snacks are also served to after-school students. You will work Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day.

We are looking for a kitchen assistant who has a burning interest in food and knowledge and experience in cooking. Your tasks will include preparing meal accompaniments and salads, etc. You will be responsible for the daily production and quality assurance of the food. Other tasks in the kitchen and restaurant, such as washing dishes, cleaning, and unpacking goods, are also included. You will also organize and improve work methods together with your colleagues in the kitchen team. You will follow a central menu.

You will be involved in developing the operation, ensuring that set goals are achieved and guidelines are followed, and contributing to and working for a good working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with catering education or other training/experience that the employer considers equivalent.

You have previous professional experience as a kitchen assistant. You have good knowledge of large-scale food production, special diets, relevant legislation, self-control, and kitchen economics. The work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.
