Habilitation is specialized health care for children and adolescents with autism, intellectual disabilities, mobility impairments, or acquired brain injuries. We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge about how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include assessing and evaluating the patient's motor function and ability. Visits with the patient take place both at our clinic and in their home environment or at preschool/school. Based on your assessment, you will plan interventions together with colleagues in the team, the patient, and their network. The team includes, in addition to the physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, special educator, social worker, psychologist, and pediatric nurse.

You will carry out targeted physiotherapeutic measures including prescribing assistive devices where necessary. The patient's own participation and understanding of the interventions provided are important to us, and we work systematically with visual support before and during visits, e.g., through image invitations, schedule images, signs as AAC, etc. You will be offered an introductory period and opportunities for collegial supervision as well as regular professional meetings.

Qualifications

You must be a licensed physiotherapist. Experience working with children and individuals with disabilities is an advantage, as is experience with assistive device prescription. We are looking for someone who can and wants to collaborate with the patient and their network to find the conditions for functioning and developing in everyday life. You should be curious, flexible, responsible, and enjoy problem-solving. You are confident in your professional role and enjoy both independent work and collaborating with colleagues from other professions. A good attitude towards patients and colleagues is a given for us, so personal suitability is of great importance. As the job involves travel, a B driver's license is required.
