Kungälv Hospital is looking for nursing students who want to work as nurse assistants during the summer of 2026. About the Job

As a nurse assistant, you will have the opportunity to strengthen your knowledge for your future profession. You will work in direct nursing care while also practicing specific nursing tasks with the support of a colleague.

As a nurse assistant, you will meet patients with various medical needs, which means you will work closely with the patient. This requires you to have the ability to understand the situations patients are in, and you should be interested in the person you meet and their needs.

Below are examples of tasks, but there will be variation based on the needs of the operations and your skills:

• Arrival interviews
• Nursing work
• Participation in nursing planning
• Daily IV control
• Venipuncture
• Conversations and supervision/nursing of patients
• Preparation and administration of medication under supervision

Qualifications

You are studying to become a nurse and have completed your 5th semester by June 2026. You have at least three months of experience working as a nursing assistant/caregiver/childcare worker. Previous experience with the Melior journal system is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You need to be able to speak and write in Swedish. As a person, you are caring, responsible, and meticulous. You find it easy to be flexible and work in an environment with a lot of varying tasks at a fast pace.

Conditions

This position involves working days and evenings as well as weekends throughout the summer.
