We offer, among other things:

• Operationally adapted introduction based on individual experience.
• For those with more than 3 years of experience, we offer an extra 6250 SEK/week, which means 25,000 SEK/month in addition to your base salary during the period from 2026-06-15 to 2026-08-09. That is, base salary plus a bonus of 25,000 SEK/month. To be eligible for this bonus, you need to be trained and work continuously throughout the specified period.
• Before the summer of 2026, we can offer nurses registered in another municipality free accommodation, subject to availability.

About the job

Within Umeå municipality, you will work as a nurse with health and medical care interventions, handling medications, documenting, making assessments, and guiding other staff. You are responsible for ensuring that the medical interventions work well for our users and coordinating contacts with doctors and other professionals within primary care and hospitals. As a nurse in elderly care in Umeå municipality, you can work in the following areas: care homes, home care, and evening and night patrols.

About you/the applicant

You are a licensed nurse with experience in the profession. You need to have a B driver's license. It is an advantage if you have specialist training in district care, geriatrics, or psychiatry.

As a nurse in the municipality, you and your nursing colleagues have the highest medical competence. This means you need to enjoy taking responsibility, have good initiative, and be able to work independently. You also contribute to good collaboration through clear and respectful communication with other professions. Of course, you have a good and respectful approach when interacting with patients and relatives. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Evening work has a reduced working time of 34.33 hours/week and night work 32 hours/week.

The employment is for a summer substitute, with the possibility of extension. Start date will be agreed upon. Interviews, selection, and hiring will be ongoing. Umeå municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting.
