Care Assistants Wanted at August Jansgården

Do you want one of society's most important jobs? We are now looking for two care assistants with a strong interest in working with elderly people with dementia.

August Jansgården is centrally located in Hallstavik with beautiful facilities and large lovely terraces that make it easy to enjoy the nature outside.

About the Position

We are now looking for two care assistants to join our wonderful team! One position is for 80% and the other for 75%. The positions involve morning/day and evening work as well as weekends.

In addition to the usual tasks for care assistants, you will work with delegated tasks from the nurse regarding medication, wound care, venipuncture, and catheterization. We actively work with contact person assignments and the BPSD register.

We use various IT systems such as Lifecare, TakeCare, and we sign delegated tasks using Appva. We also have activities every weekday morning that add a special touch to the day, which can vary, and we have daily walks!

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Medication
• Wound care
• Catheterization
• Venipuncture
• Contact person assignments
• Usual tasks that occur in a dementia care facility

About You

For this position, you need to:

• Be a trained care assistant
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
• Have good computer and system skills

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Knowledge of the Finnish language
• Experience in dementia care
• Knowledge and experience in performing blood sampling and catheter placement.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills. You take initiative and responsibility for your own tasks as well as for the whole. Flexibility, loyalty, and empathy are your strengths as the work of a care assistant is based on teamwork. You have both personal and professional maturity.

About Us

Welcome to us at August Jansgården, a beautiful dementia care facility with 35 apartments on the ground floor, quite centrally located in Hallstavik. The facility is divided into two buildings with a total of four units. At August Jansgården, we serve full board, which includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, dinner, and evening snacks. The food is prepared in our own kitchen. Our goal is to create a safe living environment that we ourselves would choose to live in.

We are part of Tiohundra - the complete care company in Roslagen.

Miscellaneous

As of July 1, 2023, care assistant is a protected job title. This means that a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to hold the title of care assistant. You can apply for the certificate on the National Board of Health and Welfare's website. If you have care and nursing education according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations but have not yet received the professional certificate, you can instead be employed under the title of care aide. No care assistant education is required to be employed as a care aide.
