About the position
The Medical Treatment Department (MBA) is a medical unit (ME) within the Cancer Theme with operations in Huddinge and Solna. We treat both hematological and oncological patients in the unit. A focus for us is to work with continuity for our patients as we know it is important to create security during the treatment period.
In the spring of 2026, we plan to open the MBA in Norrtälje. There will be ten treatment places in the unit and you will be part of a team of about six nurses. Once the new work group is established, overall responsibilities will be distributed within the team.
As a nurse with us, you will work as a treatment responsible nurse, which means that you inform the patient and relatives about treatment and side effects. You will administer chemotherapy, antibody treatment, immunotherapy, and blood transfusions. Together with other colleagues in the ME, you will be responsible for quality and patient safety issues and keep yourself updated in the field.
Examples of tasks:
- follow up on side effects and symptoms from treatment and illness as well as provide advice to patients and their relatives
- independent assessments of patients' symptoms
- book new patients and plan for upcoming care
- telephone advice
In the role, you will primarily collaborate with the responsible doctor and contact nurse to ensure that the patient's care plan and treatment schedule are followed. The work is scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday, with a working time of 40 hours per week and the possibility of flexible hours.
We are looking for someone who

- is meticulous and well aware of goals and quality standards and places great importance on living up to these.
Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed nurse
- A couple of years of experience working as a nurse
Meritorious:
- Specialist trained in cancer care or other relevant education in the field
- Experience working in cancer care.
