Care for People with Disabilities
In our care services, we assist individuals with various disabilities.
We work to facilitate and support our clients in managing their daily lives. The goal is to enable them to live as independently as possible.
We are now looking for two new employees for our group home on Korgmakargatan in Visby. Our team consists of experienced and competent staff. The start date for one position is 2026-03-01 and for the other position in mid-April (by agreement).
We offer you a varied, responsible, and stimulating job with opportunities for personal development and skill enhancement.
Your Responsibilities
As a support assistant, you and your colleagues work with IBIC (individual's needs in focus) as a foundation.
You will support, motivate, and assist clients in their daily lives and help interpret and clarify their routines. All our clients have specific and individual needs. Some have significant care needs and cannot manage without extensive care and support, while others require more pedagogical support and guidance to cope with their daily lives. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a clear and structured working method, and a low-arousal response. As a support assistant, you will provide both social activities and household chores as well as personal care and transfers. You will participate in the quality development of the services and in various meetings, training sessions, and supervision.
The position includes case management, which means you will be responsible for establishing and revising implementation plans, documenting, and maintaining contact with relatives and representatives/guardians.
You will work according to a basic schedule with day/evening and weekend shifts as well as on-call duties.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with an approved education in care and nursing, child and leisure, social pedagogy, or personal assistance. A B driver's license is required for the position.
It is an advantage if you have previously worked in care for people with disabilities.
As a person, you are flexible, service-oriented, and have good collaboration skills. It is important that you are confident in both yourself and your professional role. You have a calm demeanor and a willingness to help others and find solutions according to the organization's goals and guidelines.
You are proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as all communication and documentation are conducted in Swedish. You adapt your communication style according to the recipient and are good at listening to what the other party has to convey.
We expect you to share the LSS intentions of a humanistic view of humanity, values, and good treatment.
Warm welcome to submit your application!
