The finance department belongs to the municipal administration and provides qualified financial support to all areas of the municipality. We have 7 employees in the finance department, which is centralized in the municipality. You have the opportunity for hybrid work where you can partially combine on-site and remote work.

Responsibilities

As a controller, you are an important part of financial management at a strategic level in the municipality. The role involves working with the finance manager and others in the department to coordinate and develop processes that ensure good financial management for our operations. You create conditions and opportunities for all operations to focus on their main tasks, develop, and achieve set goals and a long-term balanced economy. You report directly to the finance manager and are part of the finance department's team.

Your work is both strategic and operational, with a key role in driving and developing the work forward. We offer you an independent and developing role, where you have the opportunity to work with engaged colleagues.

In your role as a controller, you will work with environmental analysis, budgeting, performance and goal follow-up, year-end closing, and forecasting. This position primarily targets the areas of Culture and Recreation as well as Community Development. You will act as a support to the operations and managers.

You will also work with other tasks commonly found in a finance department.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in finance at the university level or equivalent competence deemed comparable by the employer. Experience in qualified financial work, preferably in public operations, as well as experience in project accounting is meritorious.

You are knowledgeable in the financial field and have a good understanding of financial reporting while also understanding the needs of the operations. You are development-oriented, enjoy finding new solutions, and have good skills in digitalization. As a person, you are positive and independent. You are flexible and not afraid to pitch in where needed. You are social and think it is important to contribute to a good atmosphere in the workplace. You strive for the development of routines and working methods and high quality in what you are responsible for. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We offer a permanent full-time position with placement according to agreement.
