Are you ready to join us on our exciting journey?
Ellevio is one of Sweden's largest energy companies, and together we continue to electrify Sweden. With us, you are part of a secure and important future industry while having the opportunity to make a difference, grow as an individual, and have fun along the way! We believe in a bright and sustainable future, do you?
About the role of Power Engineer
The operations center is growing, and we are now looking for two power engineers – one focused on local networks and one on regional networks – who want to help develop the power grids of the future. Here you will have a role where you both support daily operations and drive improvement initiatives.
Our operations center is the heart of our business and ensures that electricity flows into the homes of our 970,000 customers every day. As a Power Operations Engineer at Ellevio, you will work at one of Sweden's largest operations centers, and you will have the opportunity to work in a modern environment where development is a focus while being an important part of managing parts of Sweden's infrastructure.
As a power engineer, you will be part of the operations support team and become an important bridge between the operations center and other departments. You will provide technical support in close collaboration with operations managers and supervisors, and be responsible for developing and driving improvements within the operational activities. The role gives you a great opportunity to influence strategic decisions while also developing your technical skills through varied and challenging tasks.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- operational manager in operational activities
- participation in projects and development initiatives
- incident investigations
- network analysis and technical support
- contact with authorities, other network owners, and contractors
You will have the opportunity to work independently while collaborating closely with your team. The team is characterized by a friendly and supportive culture where ideas and initiatives are valued.
With us, every workday is unique in a dynamic environment where quick decisions and problem-solving are a natural part of everyday life.
Who are you?
To thrive in the role of power engineer, we see that you have the ability to lead and develop processes within the organization, as well as identify shortcomings and drive improvement proposals. You have a good ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively and find solutions to challenges that arise in everyday life. You have good communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We are looking for someone who has:
- post-secondary education focused on electrical engineering or equivalent work experience
- several years of work experience in electrical engineering
- good system knowledge and the ability to learn new systems
We consider it a merit if you have:
- experience with projects, control equipment, or field experience
- advanced knowledge of electrical power systems for transmission and distribution networks
Ellevio as an employer
It is important to us that employees feel comfortable, engaged, and driven by the desire to continuously learn and develop. Only then can we together achieve our vision of a bright and sustainable future. With us, you have great opportunities to influence the company as a whole and your own career. A fine proof of this is that we have been named a Career Company for the sixth consecutive year!
We are constantly working for a sustainable and developing work climate where equality, diversity, and inclusion are a given. For example, there is the ELLE network, Ellevio's internal women's network, to create conditions for increased collaboration and well-being.
