We are now looking for a unit manager for a unit within general telephone services (customer service) for health insurance. You will lead a unit that answers over 1 million customer calls per year. The employees in general telephone services answer many different types of questions about health insurance and are often the ones who provide customers with their first contact with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. It is therefore important that our customers receive answers to their questions and a good reception.
Close leadership, change, sustainable workplace
As a unit manager, you are the manager who is closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the state’s values permeate your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, follow up on goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take their responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as responsibility for results and follow-up for the teams in your unit.
Your unit consists of about 20 employees who work with answering incoming phone calls to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and are located in Västerås. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take their responsibility and meet the need for change. You create understanding for context, direction, and the goals the department has set and develop the plans your operations need. As a unit manager, you support the area manager and are part of the area's management group, consisting of 8 managers, HR support, and an administrative assistant, where you contribute with your competence and commitment. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.
The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

- have a good understanding of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's mission.
