Your Role

As the Head of Distribution, you will implement Mälarenergi Vatten's strategy in practice. You will help ensure that our three municipalities (Västerås, Hallstahammar, and Surahammar) have robust and future-proof water and sewage networks. You will lead the department and ensure that work is carried out efficiently, safely, and with a focus on long-term solutions. You will be a driving force in the development of our working methods and contribute to creating sustainable water and sewage services for the region.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Lead the Distribution department and implement the company's strategy in daily operations.
• Develop employees and working methods within the department to achieve efficiency, safety, and a good work environment.
• Be responsible for budget, forecasts, and cost-effective solutions.
• Be responsible and act as the client for our property Örjan.
• Drive digitization and innovations within water and sewage distribution.
• Lead your own management team and inspire collaboration and development.
• Participate in Mälarenergi Vatten's efforts towards long-term and sustainable water and sewage services within the region.

You will lead your own team working with preventive maintenance and two unit managers, giving you the opportunity to develop leadership at multiple levels. You will also be part of the company's management team, can influence strategic decisions, and report to the CEO.

We Are Looking for Someone Who Has:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field, e.g., civil engineering, road and water construction, environmental or water technology.
• Several years of experience as a manager with personnel responsibility.
• Experience in leading through others.
• Driver's license (B).
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and are not afraid to speak in front of others.
• Good understanding of budget and forecasting work.

Meritorious:

• Industry experience from leading positions with strategic height combined with operational competence.
• Experience working with water and sewage distribution networks.

We have nearly 150 employees within the company. The Distribution department consists of a total of 34 employees. The head of the department is responsible for leading the Preventive Maintenance team (7 people) as well as the department's two unit managers.
