Job Information

As a traveling technician, you will work with both hardware such as optics, electronics, and mechanics, as well as software and service assignments. MiCROTEC is a world leader in innovative solutions for the sawmill and wood processing industry. You will belong to a team that together is responsible for installations, service, and after-sales at customer sites. Do you enjoy traveling? Perfect – the role involves travel both nationally and internationally, where you will have the opportunity to work directly on-site with customers and solve technical challenges.

When you are not out with customers, you will work from the office in Linköping, where you will plan service cases, document completed work, and act as a helpdesk to solve problems remotely. You will be an important contact person for customers and ensure they always receive quick and competent support.

This assignment is part of our consulting operations. You will be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at MiCROTEC for six months. The intention is that you may eventually be hired directly by them, provided all parties are satisfied with the collaboration. Job Responsibilities

• Perform service, installation, and troubleshooting on measurement systems and scanners
• Provide remote support via phone and computer (Servicenow)
• Work with optics, electronics, mechanics, software, and networks
• Plan service visits, document completed work, and provide feedback to customers
• Collaborate with colleagues in Sweden and Italy to solve complex cases

We are looking for someone who has

• A technical education or experience in IT, electrical, automation, or industrial engineering
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• A valid driver's license and enjoys traveling for work
• A genuine interest in technology and problem-solving
• The ability to work independently, structured, and customer-focused

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in industry or service, but the most important thing is your curiosity and willingness to learn. We are looking for someone who does not wait for instructions but likes to find out things on their own and find solutions.
