Then you are the one we are looking for in a new role at Group Housing Rosenborgsgatan 28, where you can combine practical support and care work with guiding and supporting colleagues!

Your new job

You will work closely with citizens in their daily lives to support and promote an independent life.

The tasks include social support, personal care, medication management, activities, and household work - always with the citizen's participation in focus. Healthcare interventions include stoma care, cough machines, ventilators, and feeding tubes. We also work with clear pedagogy through visual support, schedules, and TAKK. Social documentation, implementation plans, and contact person responsibilities are included.

As a specialist nurse, you will have an extended responsibility to develop the organization's working methods to ensure good quality in the services provided to the citizens. Together with the unit manager and support pedagogue, you will work on developing routines, instructing, and training colleagues in the extensive care work. Your work will largely consist of the following:

• Ensuring the quality of care interventions
• Conducting self-checks and ensuring compliance with good hygiene routines
• Providing advice and support to your colleagues on issues related to care work
• Introducing and mentoring new employees/students through training, support, and guidance
• Supervising and further educating students and colleagues based on the specialist area, such as dementia care and palliative care or other care aspects
• Conducting training related to current care interventions and subsequently performing and mentoring colleagues in the area, such as stoma care
• Supporting and mentoring other units for short periods if needed

Collaboration occurs with various professionals within healthcare, relatives, daily activities, and other actors necessary to best meet the citizens' needs. Other tasks may also occur and vary over time.

Your qualifications

• You are a trained specialist nurse (200 YH credits), preferably in the area of acute care or dementia or other relevant qualifications as assessed by the employer
• You are a trained nurse and we prefer that you have a certificate for a protected professional title
• You have at least three years of experience working as a nurse
• We prefer that you have experience working with evidence-based methods and approaches as well as mentoring and teaching others
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension is required for handling documentation, information gathering, and communication where you absorb and convey complex information regarding care interventions
• You need to be comfortable using digital tools such as Combine and TES
• You have good physical mobility as the work can be physically demanding

As a person, you are secure and responsible by being attentive, meticulous, and structured. You remain calm in pressured situations, are patient and accommodating. You have a good pedagogical ability where you can guide and meet both colleagues and citizens in a clear and respectful manner. Above all, you have a genuine interest in deepening knowledge and developing specialist knowledge, sharing your expertise to achieve good results - together with others.

Welcome to us

Group Housing Rosenborgsgatan 28 is located in central Huskvarna with an attractive location close to shops, restaurants, and green areas. Here live six adults with different intellectual disabilities - all in need of support in accordance with the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The level of care for the citizens varies, from supportive to fully compensatory depending on the area of life. The goal of the operation is to promote the individual's personal abilities while respecting personal integrity.

For those working here, there are good commuting opportunities with proximity to bike paths along Lake Vättern, the station, bus right outside, and a parking garage in the building. The staff currently consists of 16 employees, of which four work awake nights and 12 work day/evening. We are now looking for a new colleague who can complement our team with their specialist knowledge!

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a permanent position with a start date according to agreement. Working hours include days and evenings, weekdays as well as weekends. Jönköping Municipality always offers a 100% employment rate and co-planning with work in other operations may occur.
