The cemetery administration in the Helsingborg parish is responsible for funeral services and the maintenance of the parish's cemeteries. We are about 80 employees in the cemetery administration and are now looking for cemetery workers for full-time seasonal employment for the 2026 season.

About the position

Do you want to be part of the cemetery administration and together with our competent employees manage our green burial and cultural environments? As a cemetery worker, you will be part of our teams that take care of the cemeteries with all the tasks involved in cemetery maintenance, such as lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weeding, and planting. Chapel duties are included in one of the vacant seasonal positions. The season runs from mid-March to early December.

Our cemeteries are divided into three districts. District North consists of Pålsjö Cemetery, the Crematorium Cemetery, and Pålsjö West Cemetery. District Center includes the New Cemetery, the Donation Cemetery, and the Old Cemetery. District South consists of Råå Cemetery and Raus Cemetery. Please indicate in your application if you have preferences regarding placement.

The work takes place outdoors regardless of the weather. There is a local flexitime agreement at the workplace, but normal working hours are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:30. You are entitled to summer vacation. All Saints' weekend is our busiest visiting weekend, and we expect you to be on duty then.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with education in green space management or gardening, or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. We see it as a positive if you have experience handling some of the machines used in cemetery maintenance and enjoy working physically.

You have good teamwork skills and enjoy working with colleagues, but you can also take initiative and make independent decisions. You are open and service-oriented in your interactions with the public.

You must have at least a B driver's license.
