Department Head for the Medical Clinic

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a department head who, together with their team, wants to develop the open specialized care within the lung/allergy and neurology section.

We offer you an exciting role as department head where you have overall responsibility for the section's development and improvement work, work environment, and budget. As a department head, you are responsible for medical secretaries, nurses, and nursing assistants.

You will work closely with the department heads responsible for the section's inpatient care and are also expected to collaborate closely with the physicians designated for the medical leadership function for each section. Together, you are responsible for accessibility and improvement work within the section.

You will also work closely with other managers in the clinic, be part of the clinic's management group, and report directly to the operations manager. You will be employed in a permanent position in your primary profession with a four-year appointment as a manager, with the possibility of extension.

As a manager in Region Halland, you have two tasks: to steer and lead with a focus on results and to engage and motivate your employees. You are the employer's representative and represent Region Halland, which means you have an understanding of the organization as a whole.

We offer an introductory program tailored to your previous experiences, and you will have access to the region's training for managers and the hospital's forum for managers. You will also receive significant support from us in the clinic management group as well as from the support functions that are always readily available.

About the Workplace

The clinics for lung, allergy, and neurology are all located in Klockhuset and conduct investigations, diagnostics, and treatment of patients with pulmonary and neurological diseases requiring specialized care.

Our goal is good patient safety and excellent patient care; patients leaving us should be satisfied.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with healthcare experience and preferably previous management and leadership experience. You have an education appropriate for the position. Previous experience in lung care or neurology is an advantage but not decisive for the position.
