Description of the Operation

In Robertsfors Municipality and at Nybyskolan, we work to create an inclusive and developing learning environment for students in adapted primary school.

Our focus is to give every student the opportunity to grow based on their conditions. As a teaching assistant, you will be a central part of this work by contributing to safety, structure, and participation in the students' everyday lives together with teachers and other staff.

Your Mission

As a teaching assistant in adapted primary school, you work closely with students and teachers to create safe, structured, and predictable learning environments. You support students based on their individual needs, both in teaching and in social situations, and contribute to creating participation and meaningful school days.

Your role includes:

• Providing individually tailored support during lessons and activities
• Working relationship-building with empathy and clarity
• Contributing to structure, calm, and safety in the student's everyday life
• Supporting students in communication and independence
• Collaborating with teachers, student health, and guardians regarding support measures
• Adapting working methods, communication, and activities based on the student's needs

You will be an important part of an operation where we together create good conditions for students' development and learning.

Your Competence and Experience

Requirements

• Education as a teaching assistant or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• Experience working with students with intellectual disabilities (ID) and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF)
• Knowledge and ability to work with AAC and/or TAA
• The work may involve physically active moments and support during transfers, which means you need to have good physical ability

Meritorious

• Experience as a teaching assistant in adapted primary school.
• Experience working with students with ID and/or NPF in a school environment.
• Experience from work within LSS.
