Structural Engineer for a Large Member-Owned Company

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a structural engineer at our client, you are responsible for developing and ensuring robust and safe building constructions for single-family homes and multi-family buildings. You will work with structural calculations, dimensioning, and design of trusses and load-bearing elements. You will use your technical understanding of stability and load distribution to produce documentation and solutions for planar and volumetric construction within industrial manufacturing. Using tools such as Pamir, Revit, and AutoCAD, you will contribute to cost-effective constructions that meet current regulations.

To succeed in this role, attention to detail, clear communication, and confidence in interfaces from architectural documentation to manufacturing documents are essential. The role requires a humble and unpretentious approach as well as a strong ability to collaborate with both internal and external parties. Quality, structure, and clear dialogue are central parts of your working method.

This is a hire-purchase arrangement with an initial employment at Academic Work before a recruitment takes place.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing and assembly details as well as technical solutions
• Perform structural calculations for the stability and safety of the construction
• Dimension and design trusses and other load-bearing elements
• Design and develop construction solutions for single-family homes and multi-family buildings
• Ensure that technical solutions comply with building regulations, standards, and directives

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a Master's degree/bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent experience
• Has good knowledge of CAD design and structural calculation programs
• Has experience in designing trusses and has good knowledge of building codes/regulations (e.g., Eurocode and BBR)
• Is fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required for internal and external collaborations.
• Has a B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with wooden house construction
• Knowledge of programs such as Pamir, Revit, and AutoCAD
• Interest in mathematics, physics, and calculations
