Your New Job

Together with other staff, you will participate in the operation of the municipality's water and sewage network. The work includes preventive maintenance, renewal, and urgent construction work, such as repairs of pipes and connections. Various types of inspections of our facilities may also occur.

Our unit consists of 11 installers, as well as a unit manager, operations manager, and contracting engineer. We are a close-knit team where we support each other, share knowledge, and experiences.

Your Competence

For the job, you need to be responsible, quality-conscious, positive, and engaged. You can collaborate with colleagues and subscribers and have a desire to learn and develop. You see internal and external training as an opportunity to build competence.

Attention to detail and a sense of responsibility are crucial – small mistakes can have large consequences for water supply and the environment. The work can be physically demanding and outdoors in all weather conditions, which requires good physical endurance. You also need problem-solving skills to quickly handle unexpected situations, where effective communication with colleagues, contractors, and sometimes property owners is required.

Requirements

• Experience in construction work or other relevant experience
• Driver's license (B)

Meritorious

• Previous work in the water and sewage sector
• Training in pipe laying
• Experience with PE welding

Good to Know

An employment within Jönköping Municipality involves military placement and since the position is security classified, a successful security review including a background check is required. Upon hiring, mandatory alcohol and drug tests will also be conducted. The position is a permanent employment at 100% with start date as agreed. On-call duty may occur as part of the job. At the interview, you are expected to provide two references.

Since the tasks involve exposure to vibrations, you will be called for a medical examination related to vibration work before employment.
