We are looking for a Solutions Architect for Vehicle-Related IT for an authority in traffic.

This is a consulting assignment. The work location is Stockholm. 

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of the solutions architect is placed within the area of Vehicles & Control/Monitoring and involves overall responsibility for the architecture in vehicle-related IT solutions. The assignment includes designing solution proposals based on collected requirements, internal guidelines, and target architectures. The role involves close collaboration with domain architects, IT and business specialists, and other colleagues to ensure that the solutions are cohesive, sustainable, and meet the needs of the business. The work takes place in both projects and management.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for and drive the technical work with IT solutions and IT architecture within management and projects

Ensure that the solutions align with target architectures, security guidelines, and strategies, and are coordinated with relevant individuals and entities

Participate in operational work with incidents and planned activities

Be responsible for securing and improving monitoring as well as automating more stable system processes in collaboration with other stakeholders

Participate in requirement specification and review towards vehicle suppliers in ongoing projects and their handover

Ensure that architectural documentation, solution descriptions, and decision-making materials are produced, updated, and approved by relevant parties

Contribute to ensuring that the solutions are operational and manageable, including monitoring, stability, and automation in collaboration with other stakeholders

Contribute to risk management and provide decision-making materials for technical choices within management and projects

Requirements (Mandatory)

Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

At least four (4) years of documented work experience as a solutions architect (or equivalent IT architect role) in large and complex IT environments, with more than 500 employees or with mission-critical system integrations. As a Solutions Architect, the assignment must have included both conceptual and logical architecture as well as collaboration with multiple technical domains. You should have at least two (2) years of documented experience in managing and updating architectural documentation (e.g., system overviews, integration maps, principles, and guidelines) focusing on ensuring long-term manageability. At least two (2) years of experience working with complex system integrations in larger IT environments (with at least 500 users and/or several mission-critical systems), preferably in collaboration with an established integration function (e.g., ICC or equivalent). At least two (2) years of documented experience supporting analysis and handling incidents and operational issues in larger IT environments (with at least 500 users and/or several external suppliers)

Desirable

Experience working for at least four (4) years in a government agency, municipality, or region as an IT architect.  At least two (2) years of experience working on large projects with a budget of at least 50 million SEK or in large projects lasting at least five (5) years. Documented experience working as a Solutions Architect or equivalent in at least three (3) different organizations, companies, or authorities. The assignments may have occurred consecutively or in parallel, but the total experience must amount to at least three (3) years of work. At least one (1) year of documented experience in the design, development, or management of distributed IoT solutions, including integration between sensors, systems, and cloud services or equivalent experience with distributed systems or real-time solutions.  At least one (1) year of documented experience working with IT solutions in industries with high security and regulatory requirements, such as transport or rail.  Relevant higher education degree, such as in IT, systems science, computer science, or engineering.
