Job Responsibilities

Malmö is developing rapidly, and many want to live, work, and visit our city. At Stadsfastigheter, we are responsible for the city's property supply. We manage, develop, and build new preschools, schools, support and elderly care homes, as well as cultural and recreational facilities for the city. We are in an intensive development phase aimed at creating a cohesive Malmö.

The project unit is tasked with driving construction projects, and we are involved from the idea stage all the way to handing over the finished building to the end user and property manager. The project unit is now looking for a construction manager!

As a construction manager, you will work closely with and on behalf of the project manager to ensure that the construction production is carried out according to the client's requirements. In case of short-term needs, you should also be able to drive construction projects as a construction manager. Specific tasks vary between different construction projects but may include holding or taking minutes from construction meetings, following up on costs, payment plans, and timelines, managing questions/answers, and coordinating inspections. The construction manager is expected to be involved in Stadsfastigheter's ongoing internal development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree as a civil engineer or a university engineer of at least 180 credits, or another equivalent education that can be assessed as equivalent. Training as Bas-P, Bas-U, and/or control responsible according to PBL is an advantage. To be considered for the position, you need to have at least 8 years of documented experience in the construction industry, for example as a construction manager, site manager, or similar. You also have documented expertise and experience in contract law as well as relevant construction and property technical expertise and experience. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required for the position. It is an advantage if you have experience in procurement of contracts according to the Public Procurement Act and if you have good knowledge in environmental/sustainable development, quality, and work environment.

As a construction manager with us, you will have many points of contact, so it is important that you have good collaboration skills and the ability to create and maintain good relationships both internally and externally. The work is done in close collaboration with the project manager, and much of the work consists of construction technical administration. It is required that you have good communication skills as a construction manager. You also need to have a good ability to analyze information and make rational assessments based on the available information. It is a given for you to deliver results with quality on time and within given financial frameworks.

Stadsfastigheter's 180 employees manage Malmö city's properties for schools, childcare, elderly care, and culture. The portfolio amounts to over 1.8 million square meters and generates an annual turnover of approximately 2 billion SEK.
