In Avesta, we invest a lot in food and prepare it from scratch using quality ingredients. Our guidelines are to provide good and healthy food of high and safe quality. Within the operations of Avesta municipality, we serve guests of different ages and needs, including preschool children, school students, and the elderly. All guests are offered good, well-prepared, safe, and healthy food. It is of high quality and, as far as possible, made from scratch without unnecessary additives.

Nature of the tasks and areas of responsibility:

• Preparation and responsibility for ensuring that all our guests – children/students/elderly – receive nutritious, good, healthy, and environmentally conscious food, as well as ensuring safe food for those with special dietary needs.
• Plan the work and make purchases based on economy, quality, and environmental considerations.
• Be an adult presence in the operation.
• Collaborate with staff.
• Be responsible for self-control and hygiene.
• Must be able to taste all food before it is served to guests.
• Heavy lifting occurs during food handling and preparation, such as when handling trays.
