Storumans municipality is a large municipality in Southern Lapland. About 6,000 people live here, with just over half of them in the urban areas of Storuman/Stensele and Tärnaby/Hemavan. JOB DESCRIPTION
The Individual and Family Care (IFO) in Storumans municipality is looking for a social worker for a 100% position. IFO consists of authority operations and open care, led by a manager. The authority operations include our chief social worker who is responsible for receiving reports of concern and applications, distributing cases, and guiding caseworkers and social workers, as well as our economic and adult caseworkers and our social workers in child, youth, and family law. Within our open care operations, we can offer housing support and family pedagogy as well as open care regarding violence and risk use/dependency. We also have a family support service that can offer, among other things, parent support training and the evidence-based method family therapy CBT. We can provide support without prior assistance decisions and offer a social psychiatric meeting place, Vändpunkten.
As a social worker, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for investigating and following up on interventions within child, youth, and family law. The work includes investigative and follow-up conversations with children, youth, and parents, documentation, and collaboration with our open care and other operations and authorities. Your tasks also include assisting and/or replacing the chief social worker in receiving reports of concern and applications. Otherwise, you will be responsible for working towards the goals of the operation, being involved in continuous improvement work, and contributing to job satisfaction and ensuring a good working environment. In July 2025, the new Social Services Act will come into force. The new legislation will mean a written focus from authority operations to early, preventive measures and increased accessibility, a first-line social service. QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. Previous experience in authority operations related to children, youth, and family law is advantageous, as well as good knowledge of current legislation. Experience working with the Life Care operational system is also an advantage.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and can work both independently and in a team. Important qualities for the job include a well-developed analytical ability as well as good communication skills in both speech and writing. We want you to be engaged and interested in working with people and change processes and have a good attitude towards clients, colleagues, and other contacts. You should have a good ability to collaborate both internally and externally. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. A driver's license (B) is required.
