We are now looking for a Key Account Manager responsible for developing the industrial segment in Scandinavia.
What does Algol Chemicals do?
Algol Chemicals is a producer and distributor providing a wide range of industrial and specialty chemicals as well as polymers for industrial production processes. Annually, we are responsible for approximately 40,000 product deliveries and offer services to more than 3,000 industrial companies in Finland, Scandinavia, the Baltics, Ukraine, and India.
Algol Chemicals is part of the Finnish Algol Group. In Scandinavia, we have both production and sales offices, and as KAM Industrial, you will belong to the Scandinavian sales organization based in our office in central Malmö.

Your mission as Key Account Manager Industrial
As Key Account Manager Industrial, you have a key role responsible for developing our market and customers within the industrial segment in Scandinavia. Your mission is to develop and expand a portfolio of about ten existing large customers and strengthen relationships so that customers always choose Algol Chemicals as their primary supplier of specialty chemicals. In addition, you will seek new business opportunities and new customers to further broaden your portfolio and increase your customer base.
You work independently and set your action plan with goals and milestones. The work can preferably be performed from our office in Malmö or from your home office. You will also spend time with customers, which involves some travel, but you will plan that yourself.
The role involves:
Actively seeking new business opportunities while developing existing customer relationships.
Developing and driving sales activities towards customers in the industrial segment.
Having contact with suppliers internationally.
Working closely with your colleagues in Scandinavia and internationally to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Travel within Scandinavia (and in some cases internationally) is a natural part of the job.
Who are you?
We believe you have experience from working in at least a couple of different sales roles and with B2B sales. You are motivated by working with various stakeholders and across different industries. If you have experience in selling chemicals or have worked with sales to manufacturing companies, that is a plus. Although chemicals may sound complicated and difficult, the focus in this role (competency-wise) is on business development and relationship building.
To succeed in the role, we expect you to be goal-oriented, proactive, and have the ability to build trust at all levels. As a person, you are solution-oriented and a relationship builder, and you thrive in an independent role with significant personal responsibility.
What else? Since communication is crucial for the role, you must be fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and you must have a driver's license.
