PTP Psychologist at SiS Youth Home Hässleholm
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored coercive care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
SiS Youth Home Hässleholm is a secure institution with four treatment departments, two departments for reception and needs assessment (MBB), and an open TFCO unit. We primarily receive school-age boys but also girls, who are involved in ongoing criminal activities and, in some cases, substance abuse.
Job Description
As a PTP psychologist at SiS Youth Home Hässleholm, you belong to the institution's quality unit, which consists of psychologists, nurses, treatment secretaries, family and network therapists, and a quality manager. Here, the psychologist has an institution-wide employment, which means that work within all operational areas may become relevant.
The primary task of the psychologist is to conduct intake interviews, assessment work, risk and needs assessments, report writing, and internal collaboration with other professional groups such as unit managers, treatment staff, principals, and teachers. An important part of the psychologist's work is consultation and training for staff in areas such as suicide prevention and trauma-informed care (TMO).
The work includes cross-professional implementation of mapping and treatment planning to reduce the risk of relapse into norm-breaking/antisocial behavior, participating in treatment teams, following up and evaluating treatment efforts, and participating in student health work. Other psychological work occurs based on the organization's needs. The tasks are varied, with great opportunities to structure and prioritize your work independently. As a PTP psychologist with us, you will have a supervisor who will follow you throughout the year. Together, you will create an individually tailored service plan.
Within SiS, there are good opportunities for professional development. To prepare you for your future role as a psychologist, SiS offers an internal foundational training during the first year of employment. All psychologists meet annually for joint professional development, and individual development initiatives may be relevant based on the needs of the organization. The youth home in Hässleholm collaborates with child and adolescent psychiatry, where you as a psychologist can regularly participate in supervision/exchange of experiences with their team.

The work requires that you can take initiative, create structure, prioritize your work, and drive your work processes forward under supervision. You also need to have good communication skills in both spoken and written form.
Experience working with young people, risk and needs assessments, assessment work, and coercive care is advantageous. Experience in clinical psychological work is also a plus.
Your personal qualities, knowledge, and abilities weigh at least as heavily as formal qualifications, and great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
At SiS, we care about good employee cooperation. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee cooperation.
