At our Street Department, about 40 dedicated employees work. Together, we are responsible for streets and roads, parks and forests, parking lots, and public spaces. We also provide internal services to other administrations, and we are located at Södra Fabriksgatan 20 in Oskarshamn. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technical Office and the Street Department have many exciting challenges ahead, including transitioning to LED and maintenance planning for street lighting, energy efficiency improvements, and sustainable urban development. There is also the forestry and park unit, vehicle unit, and street unit. In other words, we offer an exciting and interesting job where you will work on various issues within the Street Department. In addition to investigating, designing, procuring, and managing various projects and assignments, we also work with the important continuity planning where we aim to achieve high resilience as a foundation for long-term capacity improvement of the entire Technical Office.

As a Project Engineer, you will primarily lead projects and maintenance assignments within the Street Department, focusing on street lighting where we are transitioning to LED and the existing lighting system, individual roads with inspections and payments to road associations. In your role, you will lead projects and maintenance assignments from start to finish, which includes project design, procurement, and also construction management. You will be responsible both technically and financially for your projects.

You are part of a group consisting of a total of five engineers. As an engineer with us, you will have the opportunity to work variably, diversely, and independently with all parts of a project, from idea to completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree or other education that the employer considers equivalent. If you also have education or experience in electricity, energy, or lighting in general environments, we see this as meritorious. We place great importance on your social competence, experience in leading your projects, and your ability to collaborate well with both internal and external stakeholders. Experience in municipal administration, procurement, and project management is also seen as meritorious. Knowledge of LOU and construction law is an advantage.

You have a strong commitment to municipal administration and as a person, you are responsible, structured, and have an open and positive way of communicating. You have the ability to create networks and take an active role in developing technology and working methods within the Technical Office.
