On our street department, about 40 dedicated employees work together. We are responsible for streets and roads, parks and forests, parking lots, and public places. We also provide internal services to other administrations, and we are located at Södra Fabriksgatan 20 in Oskarshamn. JOB DESCRIPTION

The Technical Office and Street Department have many exciting challenges ahead, including stormwater plans, stormwater management, sustainable urban development, and increased renewal rates. In other words, we offer an exciting and interesting job where you will work with various issues within the Street Department. In addition to investigating, designing, procuring, and managing utility network projects, we also work with the important water and sewage planning, including the development of water supply expansion plans, stormwater strategies, and renewal planning for the utility network. Based on action plans, we actively work with separation and capacity-enhancing measures on the utility networks.

As a design engineer, you will design and plan water and sewage lines for new or reconstruction of existing water and sewage facilities as well as other measures required around the existing network. In your role, you will lead water and sewage projects from start to finish, which includes design, procurement, and construction management. You are responsible both technically and financially for your projects.

You are part of a group consisting of a total of five designers. As a design engineer with us, you will have the opportunity to work variably, diversely, and independently with all parts of a utility network project, from idea to completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in water and sewage/land or other education that the employer deems equivalent. If you also have training in project or construction management, we consider this an advantage. We place great importance on your experience working with CAD or similar, public procurement laws, and construction law. It is also advantageous if you have knowledge of leading and driving water and sewage projects, and you carry out your projects in good cooperation with both internal and external actors. Experience from municipal administration, procurement, and project management is also considered an advantage.

You have a strong commitment to water and sewage and utility network issues, and as a person, you are responsible, structured, and have an open and positive way of communicating. You have the ability to create networks and take an active role in developing technology and working methods within the Technical Office.
