Job Responsibilities
Are you looking for a meaningful, developing, and varied job? Do you want to make a difference in everyday life as a personal assistant? We are looking for someone with experience working with psychiatric cases who wants to contribute their skills to various assignments.
As a personal assistant, you will provide support in daily life to an assistance user with extensive needs. The work is varied and is based on close collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and employers – especially in assignments involving individuals with psychiatric diagnoses or autism. You play an important role in creating structure, security, and a functioning everyday life based on the user's needs and daily condition.
Your tasks include support with personal care, such as toilet visits, showering, and dressing and undressing. You will also handle transfers using various aids such as lifts and turners, which requires technical familiarity. The work is conducted with a low-arousal approach, and you need to be able to initiate activities and contribute to creating routines that provide a meaningful and stimulating environment.
You will be part of an engaged team consisting of personal assistants, support pedagogues/coordinators, and a unit manager. The role also includes documentation in the operational system Treserva, as well as participation in developing routines and working methods.
Working hours are varied and include day shifts (7 AM – 4 PM), evening shifts (4 PM – 10 PM), and sleeping on-call (4 PM – 10 AM). A probationary period of up to six months may apply.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with prior experience working with extensive care needs, including support with intimate hygiene. You should be accustomed to working with individuals with significant care needs. It is advantageous, but not required, if you have experience using various transfer aids.
Since communication and documentation are important parts of the job, good knowledge of Swedish is required, equivalent to a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1.
It is advantageous if you have experience with documentation in Treserva or similar systems, as well as if you have care and nursing education or other equivalent training. If you have also worked with individuals with autism or in psychiatry, we see it as a significant plus.
As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and have a strong focus on the user. You collaborate well with others, contribute to a good work environment, and have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You are attentive, show care and respect in your interactions with others, and have a good overall perspective in your work.
Other Information
Selection and interviews will begin during the application period.
In this recruitment, you will be asked to answer a number of questions where you describe your knowledge in the area instead of sending a personal letter.
