IT Service Desk
The Digitalization Department is now seeking an IT Technician for the IT Service Desk unit.
The unit provides IT support to all of the region's operations, both through digital channels and on-site.
As an IT Technician in our service desk, you will be part of a close-knit team of 11 people.
Your Responsibilities
Your main tasks will be to provide top-notch support to Region Gotland's employees and manage incoming IT issues of various types and complexities. You will also conduct troubleshooting, administration, and support in various operational systems and environments, primarily in a Windows environment.
We work with different contact channels where you will provide support to users via phone, chat, email, and directly through the ticketing system. Administration and documentation responsibilities are also included.
In the service desk, we strive to be the only contact the user needs to reach out to. As an employee with us, you will actively work with alarms and monitoring of the infrastructure to provide assistance as quickly as possible.
You will also be involved in several projects and improvement initiatives, as well as managing and building contacts and relationships both internally within the organization and externally.
The role also includes responsibility for our incident process, which involves a range of tasks in this area. This work is largely based on the ITIL framework, so it is important that you are well-versed in the area.
Who Are You?
You have a high school education and fluent skills in both Swedish and English. You have at least 2 years of work experience in the service desk area.
It is advantageous if you also have a related technical or IT education and ITIL v4 certification or equivalent. If you have previously worked with ITIL processes or held leadership roles in ITIL-based organizations, we see this as a significant plus.
We expect you to have a strong understanding of technology combined with good IT skills. A service-oriented mindset is a natural part of your work approach, and you thrive in an environment where you can help users and solve problems.
