Your role as Project Manager

We are now looking for someone who wants to help lead our projects – and our people – to new heights. As a Project Manager within the South Central Construction Region, you will have overall responsibility for one or more projects and become a key person in our team-building. Your base will be in the Östergötland area, and we would prefer that you live nearby.

This is a role for someone who wants to create something new – both in the projects and in the group you lead. You are driven, want to contribute to development, and influence the way forward. Travel is a natural part of the job for you, where you meet people, build relationships, and create engagement.

As a Project Manager, you will lead the work from start to finish with a focus on economy, time, quality, work environment, and customer satisfaction. Above all, you are a present leader who helps others grow and builds strong teams where both people and results develop.

You will report to the Operations Manager and drive the projects in line with the region's strategic plan and operational system.

Job Description

• Lead projects with full accountability for results – from planning to completion.
• Exercise clear, coaching, and value-driven leadership according to the Veidekke model.
• Help build a strong and new project group where you are proactive and set the structure.
• Create engagement, structure, and progress in the project organization.
• Keep control of laws, agreements, work environment requirements, and internal procedures.
• Communicate clearly and transparently with both the team and the customer.
• Make decisions within budget and delegation – and stand firm in them.
• Inspire, motivate, and allow space for others' ideas and initiatives.
• Be a role model for the entire project – in both words and actions.

Who are you?

We believe you are a down-to-earth and secure leader with a technical background (engineering education or equivalent) and at least four years of experience in a similar role. You are organized, solution-focused, and used to working on projects that require travel and presence at different locations.

You are courageous, attentive, and clear. You enjoy being involved from the beginning and shaping a group, driving development, and influencing how we work forward. You have a genuine interest in people and understand that the best results are created when we do things together.

You coach rather than control, uplift others rather than yourself – and know when it's time to make quick decisions. You thrive in an environment where responsibility and freedom go hand in hand – and where each day presents new challenges, opportunities, and conversations.
