As a bus driver with us at the Transport Unit, you will be part of the service sector.

Other units within the service sector include Meal Service, Cleaning Service, Property Department, Sports and Facilities, as well as business developers in construction.

The Transport Unit performs services such as transportation for the disabled, school transport, mail transport, and food transport. You will be part of a workgroup with a rotating schedule. The position involves working according to the current schedule during daytime, evenings, and one weekend every eight weeks.

Position 1 - Permanent employment as a bus driver:

As one of our drivers is retiring, we are looking for a successor for a bus driver position. The position is available from April 1, 2026.

Position 2 - Temporary employment as a bus driver:

We are looking for someone who wants to work on an hourly basis as needed. Since our operations run 365 days a year, there is often a great need for substitutes in our operations, both throughout the year and in the summer when many of our regular drivers are on vacation.

Our vehicle fleet is continuously updated to provide a good environment for both drivers and passengers.

Your future tasks

The work involves driving school transport, transportation for the disabled, mail transport, and food transport. Vehicle maintenance is part of the tasks for a pleasant journey for our customers and for you as a driver. Additionally, work in the order center is included.

The role also involves

As a vehicle driver with us, it is essential that you operate the vehicle safely and precisely. Equally important, you are also the face of the municipality and the unit, with a positive and loyal demeanor, always aiming to provide our passengers with the best service and a pleasant and safe travel experience.

Since we transport both children, the elderly, and people with various disabilities, you should have an easy time communicating with people and possess great patience. Work in the order center requires you to communicate easily with customers over the phone. Computer skills are also very important in this job.

You are also an organized and reliable person who easily follows the routines and decisions that the work team operates under.

To perform the tasks, you must have:

• Valid YKB (professional driver competence certificate)
• D driver's license (bus license)

It is advantageous if you have:

• Taxi driver license
• Previous experience as a bus or transportation driver
• Experience from working in an order center
